It is incredibly exciting to announce that Winder Carpets has started work on installing the flooring requirements for The Tower Building refurbishment project in Liverpool.
The refurbishment of an historic building into a new luxury apartment complex in the centre of Liverpool with perfect access to Liverpool Lime Street station, a terminus railway station
‘conversion of 2 floors of The Tower Building to create 32 large and luxurious city centre apartments. The exciting contract will see the restoration of this Edwardian building to it’s former glory with a full renovation taking place to the exterior terracotta and granite façade, window repairs, new roof and terraces in conjunction with the works. The £5m investment into this listed building by the new landlords will include various reinstatements of relics stored in the basement from previous renovations, including the huge iron gates which once swung on the granite pillars in the archway.’
Winder Carpets were, once again, introduced to the client by one of their suppliers. A perfect word-of-mouth recommendation that led to Winder Carpets being added to the preferred supplier list and then invited to tender for this and other projects periodically.
The carpet choice throughout is a hi-gloss silk yarn, mushroom colour (the final specification to be finalised).
The kitchen areas of the apartments are being fitted with ebony coloured VUSTA wood plank luxury vinyl tile.
